Welcome to Paleo & Ancestral Nutrition
Do I have to eat raw meat, tree bark and bugs? Pull the kids out of school, find a cave to live in and sell the car?? No... not exactly.
You may have heard that a Paleo diet is mostly all meat. Not true... I have clients that are almost vegetarian and get the bulk of their nutrition from plants. I have some clients who eat lots of carbs, some who eat very few. There is no two people who are alike!

Most of the 'foods' that we eat today are processed, have little or no nutrition and interfere with our health; both long term and in our day to day functions. As a matter of fact, I really don't like using the term 'food' here, because a lot of what we eat really isn't even food. [4]
Many of the illnesses and conditions seen today are caused by modern diet and lifestyle habits. It will take major changes to our diets and lifestyles to fix this.
Often, we hear that paleo and ancestral diets are based on foods that were eaten prior to the advent of agriculture,
~ 10,000 years ago; a veritable blip in time when one looks at "the big picture".
But really... never mind 10,000 years. Our brains can not even fathom that amount of time. Consider that most of the 'foods' that people are now eating were not in existence 200 years ago, and many didn't exist only 20 to 30 years ago.
A Paleo diet includes modern foods that are as close as possible to those of our original diet; the diet that our bodies were designed to eat and thrive on. The Paleo diet excludes foods that are the product of modern agriculture, namely grains, legumes and dairy products.
These foods are often refined, full of trans fats, sugars and chemicals, and are the root cause of degenerative diseases such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and infertility.[4]
Benefits of the Paleo Diet:
-stabilize blood sugar
-burn fat
-reduce allergies
-reduce inflammation (a major root cause of nearly ALL disease)
-clear skin problems
-promote dental health
-improve sleep
-keep energy levels stable
-provide more efficient workouts/sports performance
-be the tool that you need to reclaim your health, AND
give your family the gift of good health
